چکیده

We introduce a time-frequency representation of linear signal spaces which we call the Wigner distribution (WO) ofa linear signal space. Similar to the WD of a signal, the WD of a linear signal space describes the space’s energy distribution over the time-frequency plane. The WD of a signal space can be defined both in a deterministic and in a stochastic framework, and it can be expressed in a simple way in terms of the space’s projection operator and bases. It is shown to satisfy many interesting properties which are often analogous to corresponding properties of the WD of a signal. The results obtained for some specific signal spaces are found to be intuitively satisfactory. Further topics discussed are the cross-WD of two signal spaces, a discrete-time WD version, and the extension of the WD definition to arbitrary quadratic signal representations.

Pathologies cardiac discrimination using the Fast Fourir Transform (FFT) The short time Fourier transforms (STFT) and the Wigner distribution (WD)

This paper is concerned with a synthesis study of the fast Fourier transform (FFT), the short time Fourier transform (STFT and the Wigner distribution (WD) in analysing the phonocardiogram signal (PCG) or heart cardiac sounds.     The FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) can provide a basic understanding of the frequency contents of the heart sounds. The STFT is obtained by calculating the Fourier tran...

Watermarking in the space/spatial-frequency domain using two-dimensional Radon-Wigner distribution

A two-dimensional (2-D) signal with a variable spatial frequency is proposed as a watermark in the spatial domain. This watermark is characterized by a linear frequency change. It can be efficiently detected by using 2-D space/spatial-frequency distributions. The projections of the 2-D Wigner distribution--the 2-D Radon-Wigner distribution, are used in order to emphasize the watermark detection...

Wigner-Ville Distribution Associated with the Linear Canonical Transform

The linear canonical transform is shown to be one of the most powerful tools for nonstationary signal processing. Based on the properties of the linear canonical transform and the classical Wigner-Ville transform, this paper investigates theWigner-Ville distribution in the linear canonical transform domain. Firstly, unlike the classical Wigner-Ville transform, a new definition of WignerVille di...

Multiple LFM Signals Detection Method Based on Pseudo-Wigner-Ville Distribution and Binary Integration of Hough Transform

The Wigner-Ville Distribution (WVD) and Pseudo-Wigner-Ville Distribution (PWVD) are very popular and effective methods for detecting Linear Frequency Modulated (LFM) signals in noisy environments. Hough transform is also widely used method for detection and parameter estimation of chirp signals. However, when there are signals with very different strength from each other, it is difficult to sim...

Relation between Fresnel transform of input light field and Radon transform of Wigner function of the field

We prove a new theorem about the relationship between optical field Wigner function’s Radon transform and optical Fresnel transform of the field, i.e., when an input field ψ (x′) propagates through an optical [D (−B) (−C)A] system, the energy density of the output field is equal to the Radon transform of the Wigner function of the input field, where the Radon transform parameters are D,B. We pr...
